How the numbers work
Break-even ACOS is (price minus cost minus shipping minus fees) divided by price: at that ACOS an ad-generated sale contributes nothing. The CPC ceiling is break-even ACOS times price times conversion rate, so at a 5% conversion rate one in twenty clicks has to be affordable on its own. Product, shipping and fulfilment costs count per unit whoever pays for the click; the referral fee is charged on the price.
