CSV to GeoJSON Converter

Paste rows or drop a CSV or Excel file, choose the latitude and longitude columns, optionally a name column, then pick points or lines and download the GeoJSON. Everything runs in your browser, so the coordinates never leave your machine.

Decimal degrees and degrees/minutes/seconds are both accepted, and rows whose coordinates cannot be read are counted and reported instead of being dropped silently.

Table to GeoJSON & KML

Turn a table of latitude and longitude into a GeoJSON or KML map file in your browser, with an instant preview and a list of rows that could not be placed.

Your data never leaves this browser

The file is parsed, previewed and charted on your own device. Nothing is uploaded — not even a sample. Close the tab and the data is gone.

Or paste table text

Import a table with latitude and longitude columns first.

Import a file to get started. Everything runs locally.

How it works

  1. 1.Import the table with latitude and longitude columns (Excel, CSV, TSV or JSON, or paste).
  2. 2.Check the detected latitude and longitude columns and change them if they are wrong; pick a name column for the labels if you have one. Decimal degrees and D/M/S both work.
  3. 3.Choose points (one per row) or routes (connect the points of each group, in table order).
  4. 4.Press Build map file, check the preview, then download it as GeoJSON or KML.

Frequently asked questions

How do I draw routes instead of points?
Switch the geometry to lines and pick the column that groups rows into routes: rows sharing that value are connected in order, which is how a delivery or trip log becomes one line per trip.
Why is my map empty?
The two most common causes are swapped latitude and longitude columns and coordinates written as text with a stray character. The page reports how many rows were read and skipped, which usually points straight at it.
